Japan is set to introduce new feed-in tariffs (FITs) for renewable energy from 1 July under a new law aimed at reducing reliance on nuclear power after the Fukushima accident last March.
The FITs are currently being drawn up by a special government committee, which is set to finalise the prices before May. The industry has proposed a feed-in tariff of 42 yen ($0.51)
