The new plant in Batu Kawan, Penang, will cover the whole PV chain from ingots through cells and modules, and will serve the fast-growing Southeast Asian solar market, says Bosch.
Construction work is due to begin by the end of this year with production scheduled to start in late 2013.
Total output from the plant is expected to reach 640MW a year.
