Centrotherm will deliver cell-production systems to CECEP Solar, a subsidiary of state-owned industrial giant CECEP.

CECEP Solar expanded in 2011 when it opened a 180MW cell and module production line in China’s Jiangsu Province, and wants to establish itself as a force in the country’s burgeoning PV market.

Centrotherm – which sought bankruptcy protection in the summer and is currently operating in self-administration – says the order may be a sign of better times ahead for the ravaged PV supply chain, but admits it is still too early to say for sure.
