Dai-Ichi Life offers ¥1bn PV loan

Japan's Dai-ichi Life Insurance will lend ¥1bn ($9.7m) to fund the development of the second 8MW phase of a 10MW solar plant north of Tokyo.

Mori Trust has not yet revealed when it will complete the project in the village of Izumizaki, Fukushima prefecture.

Tokyo-based Kinden will handle EPC duties.

A Mori Trust spokesperson declined to reveal which company is supplying the PV modules for the installation.

The property developer finished building the first 2MW phase of the 10MW site in August 2013.

Tokyo-based Mori Trust started building a 2MW PV plant in July on the shores of Lake Biwa, in Moriyama, Shiga prefecture.

It expects to complete the project later this year.
