Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Mexico will account for most of the 4.5GW of PV installations in Latin America this year as projects tendered since 2015 near completion, predicted consulting firm IHS Markit as part of its latest global outlook.
That would more than double the current installed capacity of around 4GW in a region that in 2016 alone added close to 2GW.
