European Commission plans extension of anti-China solar measures

The European Commission (EC) plans to maintain EU trade measures against Chinese PV equipment for a further two years.

The preliminary decision was condemned by SolarPower Europe (SPE) and the Solar Alliance for Europe (SAFE), both of which said it would damage the European industry.

The outcome follows a review carried out by the EC but must still be approved by European member states, with a final decision due by early March 2017.
