A pioneering Danish solar tender resulted in winning bids low enough to be competitive with onshore wind, said industry commentators.

The tender hosted by the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) left local joint-venture developer Pure & Better Energy with licenses for 21.6MW (AC)  – about 30MW DC  – of capacity in Denmark at nine 2.4MW installations.

They will receive a fixed premium on top of market prices of DKr128.9/MWh
