Germany’s grid agency BNetzA has set a €89.10/MWh ($94.6/MWh) price cap for the first regular 200MW auction for ground-based PV arrays that closes on 1 February 2017.

After a reform of its Renewable Energies Act (EEG) this year, Germany from 2017 on will hold three regular annual PV auctions of 200MW each.

The BNetzA in pilot PV auctions in 2015 had tendered off about 500MW, another 400MW this year, and 50MW in a first trial Danish-German cross-border PV tender.
