Swedish plans for a 100% renewable supply by 2040 have received a boost with plans for a sharp cut in tax on self-consumed solar energy.
Currently, solar system owners with a cumulative capacity of 255kW or more are required to pay a tax of around SKr0.3/kWh ($0.032/kWh) on all energy that is self-consumed. Under proposals outlined by the government, this tax is expected to be cut to SKr0.005/kWh,
