Researchers at Australian National University (ANU) have hatched a new way to make high efficiency semi-transparent perovskite PV cells that could help further reduce costs of the promising next-generation solar technology.

The fabrication method, devised by Tom White's group at ANU's Research School of Engineering, could boost the performance of conventional silicon PV cells enhanced with perovskite – a technology that is extremely good at making electricity from visible light – to 30% from around 25%.
