Sonnen, which claims to be Europe's largest producer of lithium-ion based battery storage systems, has sold more than 10,000 storage systems globally. The company formerly was known as Sonnenbatterie.
Sonnen recently has started offering storage-plus-solar systems in the US that are based on Sony Li-ion batteries and SolarWorld PV panels, which has quickly become its second largest market after Europe and has boosted its overall sales.
