"After China has abruptly slowed down its solar support for the second half, large amounts of Chinese excess production again push onto markets at prices way below production costs," claimed SolarWorld spokesman and vice president Milan Nitzschke.

"That puts solar businesses under pressure across the world."

SolarWorld will cut 300 temp jobs at its location in Freiberg on 1 October and another 200 in Arnstadt two months later.
