Ethanol climate benefits depend on methodology - EPA

The US Environmental Protection Agency on Tuesday said corn-based ethanol reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 61% when compared to gasoline, but only 16% when the impact of “indirect land use” in its life-cycle estimates are factored in.
