EEA owns and operates a 47.2MW wind farm near the city of Soria in the Spanish region of Castile-Léon. The move increases RWE Innogy’s installed wind capacity in Spain to 447MW.
The Aldehuelas wind farm was commissioned in 2005 and comprises a total of 59 Made (now Gamesa) 800kW turbines.
"Due to excellent wind conditions in particular, the Spanish onshore wind market is one of the most attractive markets in Europe and thus crucial for our growth strategy,” says Hans Bünting, chief financial officer of RWE Innogy.
