REG moves in to Northern Ireland with joint venture

REG will acquire the majority ownership of a consented 6MW wind project to be built at Draperstown in County Londonderry, for which it will pay Creagh Concrete, one of Northern Ireland’s largest privately owned companies, £1m in cash and £100,000 in shares.

The deal also establishes a 50/50 joint venture to develop further wind projects in Northern Ireland, which includes any future expansion of the Draperstown wind farm.
