Hydro Green Energy gets go ahead

Old man river: Snow fall on the Mississippi

US regulators have approved Hydro Green Energy proposal for the licensing and installation of the nation's first commercially-operational hydrokinetic power station on the Mississippi River.

Hydro Green Energy's patented technology operates in open rivers, tidal areas and oceans. The company says it is the first surface-suspended system in the industry.
