The average rate was R$67.31/MWh ($39.31) and a total of R$4.8bn is expected to be invested in the plants.
The 1.8GW Teles Pires plant, which will be built by the Consórcio Teles Pires Energia Eficiente in Mato Grosso, won with a rate of R$58.35/MWh.
The consortium is made up of Furnas (24.5%), Eletrosul (24.5%), Neoenergia (50.1%) and Odebrecht (0.9%).
The ceiling price at the tender was R$87/MWh.
