The 10MW development, made up of 420 buoys installed off Sotenäs in western Sweden, would be a contender in the race to be the world’s largest full-scale wave-power demonstration project, if it meets its target of full production by 2014-2015.
Serial production of the project’s devices, generators, substations and converters is slated to start in the first half of 2012 at a manufacturing facility set up by the two partners in Lysekil municipality.
