The company has completed further design work for its Perth, Australia project and applied for a licence to advance a proposed 5MW demonstrator in Ireland.
Carnegie says the Perth project off Garden Island will now be delivered in two phases, the first with a capacity of 2MW followed by a second stage of 3MW.
The company says phased delivery will allow it to hook up to the grid and deliver its first revenues more quickly, and using significantly less capital, than a stand-alone 5MW single-stage project.
