background

construction
and
boat
design,
and
spent
two
decades
as
a
commercial
fisherman
in
the
treacherous
Bering
Sea
off
Alaska.
He
has,
in
addition,
invented
a
tidal-energy
machine
and
is
working
on
energy-storage
solutions.
Williams
smiles
when

if
he
is
a
civil
engineer,
naval
architect
or
scientist.
No
university
degrees,
he
says
matter-of-factly.
