ABO and ITM link for hydrogen-to-wind projects in Europe

ITM Power – a UK specialist in hydrogen energy-storage systems – is to link with Germany’s ABO Wind to jointly develop projects.

The two companies have signed an agreement to develop wind-to-hydrogen projects in the UK, Ireland and Germany, says ITM.

ABO Wind has developed more than 600MW in Europe and Latin America and manages almost 300 wind farms, either its own or for third parties.

Head of prototype projects at ABO Wind Thomas Nietsch says: “ ITM Power is gaining an international reputation in the area of hydrogen energy systems, and we are looking forward to delivering some world-leading MW-scale projects together with our partner.”
