Pelamis founder Richard Yemm wins Scotland's Saltire Prize

Pelamis Wave Power founder Richard Yemm has won Scotland’s Saltire Prize Medal for his development of the company’s iconic red ‘sea-snake’ wave energy device.

Yemm received the award, which recognises “outstanding contributions” to the development of marine renewable energy generation, from first minister Alex Salmond at the Scottish Renewables annual conference dinner in Edinburgh.

“I am delighted to present Richard Yemm with the Saltire Prize Medal, an accolade which he richly deserves for his tireless commitment to the development of wave energy generation,” says Salmond.
