Suzlon to supply 40MW of wind turbines to Indian projects

Suzlon, India’s biggest wind turbine maker, has won two orders for a total 40MW of turbines in its home market.

The company will supply Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals (GSFC) with 14 of its 2.1MW turbines for a wind farm in the Kutch district in Gujarat state. GSFC has already installed 123MW of wind projects across Gujarat, according to Suzlon.

It will also ship five of the same turbines to Bharat Electronics for a project in Davangere district in Karnataka state.

Both projects will be commissioned by the end of the 2013 financial year (31 March 2012), according to Suzlon.
