Ex-CFO sues Vestas for $1.5m in stand-off over 'Indian payments'

The former chief financial officer (CFO) for Vestas, Henrik Nørremark, has began court proceedings to recover DKr9m ($1.55m) after the company terminated his severance package last week.

The case centres on two “unauthorised” payments totalling up to €18m which Vestas claims Nørremark made without the knowledge of the board or chief executive, “in violation of the company’s internal provisions regulating his power to bind the company, as well as the company’s interests in general".

Nørremark’s lawyer, Morten Samuelsson, tells Recharge that he submitted his case to Aarhus county court at the end of last week, but refused to discuss the details of the alleged payments.
