US group Anbaric says TenneT stake is not on its radar

Anbaric Transmission has denied any intention of buying a stake in TenneT, referring to an initial report that appeared in the German magazine WirtschaftsWoche.

The magazine claimed that Anbaric, a US-based developer of major power-line projects, was mulling a $4bn investment in TenneT, after its chief executive Edward Krapels met recently with Dutch and German officials.

In a statement sent to Recharge, Anbaric acknowledges that it had taken part in recent discussions with TenneT and government authorities, but only in an advisory capacity.

“Anbaric has no intention of buying TenneT or its existing grid now or in the future,” the company says.
