The
report,
which
is
being
published
to
coincide
with
the
Global
Offshore
Wind
conference
in
London,
states
that
the
UK
Offshore
wind
sector
has
the
potential
to
create
45,000
jobs
by
2015
and
over
97,000
jobs
by
2020.
By
2030,
the
sector
could
add
0.6%
to
GDP
and
sustain
173,000
jobs,
the
reports
says,
as
well
as
produce
a
£18.8
billion
boost
in
net
exports,
plugging
75%
of
the
UK’s
current
balance
of
trade
deficit.
A
more
aggressive,
accelerated
growth
scenario
could
see
the
sector
provide
an
annual
1%
uplift
to
GDP,
