With no buyer in sight, Odersun stops paying employees

Hopes that a buyer could be found for bankrupt German building-integrated PV specialist Odersun are fading, with all 260 employees likely to be let go by the end of the month.

Negotiations with potential buyers, including an unnamed Russian investor who appeared to be the company’s best bet, have “failed to come to fruition”, according to the lawyer in charge of overseeing Odersun’s insolvency proceedings.

The company, which filed for insolvency last month, has confirmed it is no longer able to pay the salaries of its employees, and its website appears to have been shut down.
