REpower loses finance chief as Noe quits over 'different views'

German wind-turbine maker REpower Systems has revealed the surprise resignation of its chief financial officer Derrick Noe – just three weeks after Indian parent company Suzlon announced the departure of its own CFO Robin Banerjee.

REpower says that Noe, a 54-year-old American and long-time German resident, left “due to different views on the company’s future business strategy”.

With Banerjee replaced immediately by Kirti Vagadia, who had been acting as finance head for Suzlon Energy, and no replacement lined up for Noe, the move would appear to suggest a significant opportunity for the two companies to become more closely integrated.

Noe joined REpower in February 2010 and had been appointed for a term due to run to the end of March 2013.
