“There
are
positive
examples
like
Denmark,
but
other
countries
have
gone
in
the
other
direction
with
changes
applied
abruptly
and
sometimes
retroactively
that
have
negative
consequences,
and
can
destroy
confidence
in
the
sector,”
says
Oettinger.
He
adds:
“In
some
case
renewables
support
is
being
used
as
scapegoat,
but
public
deficits
are
not
caused
by
support
regimes."
Oettinger
says
the
European
Commission
will
continue
to
monitor
countries
closely
to
make
sure
they
stay
on
track
to
meet
the
commitments
for
2020
set
out
in
their
national
renewable
energy
action
plans.
It
may
be
necessary…
