TRUenergy's NSW wind projects would join Origin's Cullerin Range in the state

TRUenergy – the subsidiary of China Light & Power in Australia – has unveiled plans to further expand its wind operations in the country and confirmed it will resubmit a bid for Solar Flagships support funding.

TRUenergy has lodged an application for the development of a 123MW wind farm at Stony Gap in the state of South Australia. It has also secured options to acquire wind farm sites in New South Wales with a potential total capacity of 250MW.

The company confirms it has resubmitted its proposal for government funding through the PV element of Australia’s Solar Flagships scheme.

Its bid with First Solar to build a PV farm of up to 180MW in North Victoria was unsuccessful in the initial round.
