Ed Davey: The UK's new boy gets up to speed on energy

There are only a few ironclad rules in politics. Chief among them is that the cover-up is always worse than the crime.

And so it was that on 3 February Chris Huhne resigned as Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, becoming the first Cabinet member in UK history to be forced from office by a criminal prosecution — in his case for allegedly convincing his former wife to take speeding points for him in 2003 to avoid losing his driving licence.
