Nordex in hunt for new chief executive as Richterich bows out

Nordex chief executive Thomas Richterich is to leave the company, says the German wind turbine producer.

Richterich will step down “for personal reasons” and will not renew his current contract with Nordex, which expires on 30 June next year, the company says.

No exact date is given for Richterich’s departure after ten years on the company’s board.

Nordex says preparations for appointment of a new chief executive are already underway to ensure a “smooth transition" to his successor.

“During the remaining months of his contract, Richterich will be working on important strategic projects aimed at aligning the company to the changed market conditions,” Nordex says in a statement.
