Semprius,
which
is
based
in
Durham,
North
Carolina,
has
developed
high-concentrating
photovoltaic
(HCPV)
modules,
which
Siemens
says
are
a
“prime
alternative
to
conventional
PV
and
are
especially
suitable
for
regions
with
high
direct
irradiation.”
Construction
of
Semprius’
first
production
facility
will
begin
next
month.
The
two
companies
are
not
disclosing
financial
details
of
the
investment.

in
Semprius

with

to

technology
for
clean
power
generation,"
says
Martin
Schulz,
vice
president
of
PV
in
Siemens’
