$157m investment floated for Philippine clean energy projects

A clean energy forum held in the Philippines on Monday has seen a potential commitment of $157m across the country by private companies and entrepreneurs into developing renewable energy projects.

The sustainable energy projects include biogas, biomass, small hydropower and clean transport initiatives proposed by Philippine entrepreneurs and companies.

The Philippines Clean Energy Investor Forum attracted more than 200 financiers, clean energy experts, and representatives of financial institutions from Asia, according to event organiser Climate Technology Initiative’s Private Financing Advisory Network (CTI PFAN).

The forum’s objective is primarily to bridge the gap between clean energy project developers, investors and financing institutions.
