Hydro power dominates the selection, with 17 projects proposed. Wind and solar follow with six projects each. Two biomass plants were also offered.

Osinergmin, Peru's mining and energy supervising body, is expected to announce the prices proposed by developers and the government's ceiling prices in mid-February.

No further details were made available about the size of the projects. Osinergmin announced last year that it intends on contracting 813 megawatts (MW) of biomass energy; 320MW of wind power; and 181MW of solar.
