JA, the world’s largest PV cell-maker, says it received the threat from the Nasdaq exchange on 11 October, after the closing bid price of its American Depository Shares (ADS) sank too low over a 30-day trading period.

The Nasdaq, like the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), requires securities to maintain a price above $1.00 per ADS.

Like Suntech and Daqo New Energy – two other Chinese PV companies that recently received similar warnings from the NYSE – Shanghai-based JA has six months to bolster its share price.
