Oceanteam, which was one of just three companies installing power cables to link Europe’s offshore wind farms to onshore electrical grids, will now retreat to the “lower-risk” activity of merely chartering out its fleet of support vessels.
The Norwegian company will liquidate its two Aberdeen-based divisions — Oceanteam Power & Umbilical and Oceanteam Subsea Services — as part of its restructuring strategy.
