Suzlon, the world’s fifth-largest turbine producer by installed capacity, posted a net income of 600m rupees ($13.6m) in the three months to 30 June – its first quarter – against a 9.1bn rupee loss at the same stage a year earlier.

It is the company's second successive profitable quarter, after reporting a loss in every three-month period since December 2009 until its last filing in May.
