By the end of October, 19 projects were at an advanced stage – defined as “committed” or “under construction” – with an estimated generation capacity of 2.7GW, the country’s Bureau of Resources and Energy Economics says.

Ten of these were renewables-based, including seven wind developments, two hydro-upgrade projects and one solar-thermal plant. The 10 have a combined capacity of 1.2GW, or about 46% of the total underway.
