The group of 21 major economies that make up the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) body will draw up a list of “green goods” for which tariffs will be cut to 5% or less by the end of 2015.
The list could include products such as solar panels and wind turbines.
The announcement by APEC members meeting in Honolulu, Hawaii, was seen as a victory for President Barack Obama, host of the summit.
