The New Zealand utility says the 82MW power plant will cost NZ$466m ($381m), with work scheduled to begin in July.

Nevada-based Ormat signed supply and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts with Mighty River for the first stage of the project. It will use four, air-cooled energy converters that allow for 100% re-injection of the geothermal fluid, helping sustain the reservoir.
