Phoenix to build 3MW PV plant in Italy for E.ON renewables unit

Phoenix Solar has unveiled a deal to build a 3MW PV plant in Italy for E.ON Climate & Renewables.

Construction of the facility at Marino, near Rome, will begin later this month with completion due by the end of August, says German PV systems integrator Phoenix.

It will design and build the plant using crystalline PV modules supplied by Trina Solar.

Phoenix says the new project is the fifth such contract E.ON Climate & Renewables has put its way and it now operates 13MW of solar plants for the utility in Italy and France.
