pledges

states
such

Egypt
have
been
made
to
source
up
to
20%
of
energy
supplies
from
renewables
inside
the
decade.
However,
it
is
the
economics
of
meeting
exponential
increases
in
demand
that
will
drive
the
take-up
of
green
technologies,
says
GE’s
chief
executive
for
the
Middle
East
and
Africa,
Nabil
Habayeb.
“Anybody
who
is
looking
at
future
energy
demand
and
growth
[in
the
Middle
East]
sees
that
the
need
for
diversification
of
the
energy
portfolio
is
very
important,”
