Norway’s first offshore wind farm is given final consent

Construction of the 350MW Havsul I, which is owned by Vestavind kraft, a group of local power utilities on the Norwegian west coast, can start by 2011 at the earliest.

But whether Havsul I, whch could produce around 1 TWh of energy a year, will actually be built may depend on how Norway’s financial support system for renewable energies is developed.
