The news is a rapid reversal from where things stood just two weeks ago, when developer Lake Turkana Wind Power (LTWP) claimed construction would be pushed back until at least late 2013 due to a lack of support from the Kenyan government.
LTWP, a subsidiary of Dutch wind developer KP&P, says it has received a letter of support from Nairobi that will allow it to reach financial closure at the €617m ($867.7m)
