GE to supply 10 wind turbines for Mekong Delta project

General Electric says it has signed a contract with Vietnamese developer Cong Ly Company to provide 10 of its 1.6MW wind turbines for the first phase of a project in the Mekong Delta.

GE did not release financial terms of the deal which includes operations and maintenance services. It says that Con Ly has plans for a second, 104MW phase that would help resolve Vietnam’s chronic power shortages.
