Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has won a firm order for the 108MW Crucea North wind park in Romania from Crucea Wind Farm S.R.L. and German power utility Steag GmbH.

The order includes supply, installation and commissioning of 36 of Vestas' V112.3.0 MW wind turbines, as well as a 10-year service contract.

Delivery is scheduled to start in April 2014 and commissioning is expected to be completed by the end of that year.

"We expect this to be the starting point for a successful strategic partnership in the development and realisation of international wind energy projects,”says Ralf Gilgen, member of the Board of Management of Steag GmbH.
