in
Chattanooga,
Tennessee,
says
the
German
company.
The
Volkswagen
Chattanooga
Solar
Park
uses
33,600
modules
from
China’s
JA
Solar
to
produce
13.1
GWh
of
power
annually.
It
is
the
biggest
solar
installation
so
far
seen
in
the
state
of
Tennessee,
says
VW,
which
makes
its
Passat
model
at
the
factory.
Developer
Silicon
Ranch
will
operate
the
solar
plant
and
sell
all
the
power
produced
to
VW
under
a
20-year
agreement.
The
plant
was
built
by
engineering,
procurement
and
construction
(EPC)
contractor
Phoenix
Solar.
