Vestas wins Costa Rica supply deal
Danish wind group Vestas has won a 21MW turbine supply deal in Costa Rica.
Vestas will deliver seven of its V90-3.0 MW machines to the Tilawind project in the country’s Guanacaste province.
The order was placed by project company Tilawind Corporation, which is co-owned by local groups New Tessela and Gruman Resources.
Delivery will begin in the third quarter of this year, with commissioning by the end of 2014.
The contract includes a 10-year service agreement.
Vestas said it had installed more than 500MW in Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America by the end of last year.
