Amonix says it set the previous record of 34.2% in May 2012.
The company says its technology was in outdoor testing from late February to April.
Over the entire testing period, the Amonix module earned an outdoor efficiency rating of 34.9%, according to National Renewable Energy Laboratory criteria used for measurement.
The module used Boeing Spectrolab solar cells and Amonix’s proprietary CPV technology.
